On the outside looking in

A nice job covering the Vivi phenom, and retracing some old tracks:

Vivi, I still pray for you, burn sage for your safety, and have Vivi visions. May all the good energy and love and hope surround you and keep you safe and warm and in God's tender arms. You don't even know the people who love you so very much, many who don't blog and never have, but may all these wonderful thoughts and prayers and so much love guide your feet to safety.

Vivi, I still pray for you, burn sage for your safety, and have Vivi visions. May all the good energy and love and hope surround you and keep you safe and warm and in God's tender arms. Sedona, beautifully said and worded. So many who love this little animal they have never met and many, many others. No matter what others may say, this is a selfless bunch of kind and loving people who make up Team Vivi. Thank you for being the people you all are!

If Vivi could talk, I'm sure she'd thank everyone who has done even the smallest thing to help her, and for those who have greatly sacrificed, she'd plant a big slurpy kiss on each cheek. God bless you all.

For those who have prayed and sent such kind thoughts for my Mercy, she goes to another Vet tonight and I hope to know soon what the next step will be. Thank you for keeping her welfare also in your nightly prayers.

Tonight I will light sage and send prayers up for Blable and all others who have a contentious heart on this sad day of the anniversary of Vivi's mishap.

Loving Vivi and helping these animals in some important way makes all of us better people and makes the world a better place.

So true, Sedona. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Mercy.
I am so glad I have gotten to know all of you. I'm a better person because of this blog and all the good we can do to help those animals we love.

Susan, well said. I am glad to know all of these people also. They have added much to my life. It has been "like finally having my missing animal-loving family back (my grandparents) through each of you."

There is sure going to be a big reunion someday in Heaven because I know my grandparents will look forward to meeting each and everyone of you and all these beautiful animals as well. Rest assured your lost animals are being loved by my grandparents at that Rainbow Bridge I am sure.

Well, Mercy is in a holding pattern for now. Her new Vet is off to a conference next week and is going to present Mercy's liver problem there for possible insights. He thinks it is too early to jump to any conclusion. (Not like the woman vet last week who read Mercy's Ultrasound and said, and I quote, "You dog has liver disease.")

I'd like to know, of course, like yesterday, but wouldn't we all like an easy solution to these types of problems. For now, she is fiesty, pretty, about 65 lbs, with black sleek shiny fur and gives lots of kisses. I'll update when I know something definitive. Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts and continued prayers.

P.S. God wants us to love and care for nature and all animals big and small. Its a high calling - help feed and save creatures that are unable to care for themselves, maybe even a noble calling, and it is also our first calling and the reason God put Adam (the first man) in the garden of Eden - he was the very first animal caretaker - and I believe our desire to save, rescue, feed, and tend to these sweet creatures is God given and blessed. And those that tend to God's work are blessed too.

Here is another sad story out of Calif. Please take a moment to write a note to the Placer County D.A. to put a stop to people like this.

On January 8th, 2007 Irene Robacher of Aburn, California was forced to relinquish to Placer County Animal Control more than 20 adult Afghan Hounds. She was over the limit of dogs she was legally able to house on her property.

Additionally she relinquished 8 Afghan Hound puppies.

The adult dogs turned over to County officials showed serious signs of neglect. To date legal action has not been taken against Mrs. Robacher and it has come to our attention that she is expecting to get back the 8 Afghan Hound puppies even though the adult dogs that were turned over were in horrible condition.

So far 5 of the 20 adult dogs tested positive for heartworm.
All had Giardia and whip worms.
Many had bi-lateral conjunctivitis, a contagious eye infection.
Many were considered malnurished by the veterinarians who examined them.
All were filthy, matted and covered with horse feces.
Many have teeth that have been so severely neglected that cleaning will not be enough. So far several have had teeth pulled. One dog had to have 14 teeth removed.

The list of maladies goes on and on. These 20 dogs are the fortunate ones. They are being housed, receiving veterinary care and socialized by breed knowledgeable foster homes and will be given a second chance at life. Once veterinary care has been taken care of many already have an approved permanent home awaiting them.

These 8 aforementioned puppies deserve the same opportunity. Afghan Hound Rescue of So. California stands ready at a moment’s notice to pick up the 8 remaining puppies being house at the Placer County Animal Control Facility.

It is unconscionable to return these eight pups to an owner who has

1) Already violated county laws on the maximum dogs allowed
2) STILL has 12 dogs, 15 is the legal limit in her area and based on the dogs that have been turned in it is believed that all 12 that remain on her property at the very least have Giardia and whip worms.
3) Was advertising the adult dogs for sale at $5.00 each - dogs in this price range often end up as Pit Bull bait or used in lab experiments.
4) Has already had numerous dogs wind up in Afghan Hound Rescue of So. California because she was unable to care for puppies and dogs that resulted from indiscrimante breeding of unaltered adults.

Please scroll down and take a moment to examine the pictures and descriptions of dogs that follow.

Then please take a moment to write to the Placer County D.A. asking that he not return these 8 puppies to the "breeder".

Email addresses, contact information for county officials along with press coverage to date may be found at: http://www.Poodles.tv/AH

UPDATE: February 9th, 2007 A warrant was issued and THIRTEEN more Afghan Hounds are now in protective custody

Please sign the attached petition and forward it on to as many people as you can.

Meri-Lou - How sad to see such beautiful babies in such a horrible shape. Thank you for bringing this to the blog. I just signed the petition. I'm going to post the link again. I think this way people can click directly on the link and go to the petition easier.

Please sign this to help these babies.

Just an update about Mercy, she is in a holding pattern still. Before I will agree to a liver biopsy, I have decided to consult with another "Internal Medicine" specialist for a second opinion. Thank you all for your kind encouraging words and prayers. Her homecooked meals must be agreeing with her, her coat is so thick and shiny and this is a big plus, as before it was thin, and rather coarse.

She reminds me of Vivi and I don't know why exactly, maybe because she has a tough female side to her personality and the mannerisms of a little deer all mixed into one. I did see where she has several candles lit in her support - thank you all for being so thoughtful.

For all who are interested, Vivi still very much caught!

Vivi is in an area where planes fly close by overhead and she is near or in a place associated with the word "Beach". She stays outside the main house in a small shed of sorts and sometimes she is moved and put into a cage in the back of a vehicle, and at times they bring her inside and she likes the smell of their cooking - of meat sizzling in the frying pan. They are very nice to her - lots of pets and kisses and hugs.

Keeping Vivi visions to myself is doing Vivi an injustice. I will post them each day.

Also, the area around where Vivi is seems to be quite open - I think of marshland or fields or even farm-like country.

There's also much sadness and perhaps a cemetery is nearby or someone has died recently - something is bringing in lots of sad energy. And there's lots of mud, because in the shed there are work books caked with mud and Vivi's paws are muddy. The color red seems associated with the shed -

Vivi stands on a crate and looks out a window. She can hear footsteps and wags her tail. She curls up on a blanket and also sleeps in hay, but this isn't all the time - just sometimes. I do sense that her face is kissed and she is being taken care of - and the rest I don't know, at least not now.

Vivi is taken out for walks - and a sweater is put on her - maybe to hide her markings ??? - the color red seems to be very important. Also, water is close near and she is walked where few people go on a long flat shoreline.

They wipe her paws with a rag and these people play rather loud odd sounding music.

Vivi doesn't like the loud music very much - it sounds out of harmony or strange little tunes - possibly with a flute-like instrument. They clip her nails and paint her nails - and again - I get the color red - the woman who pampers Vivi is rather heavy set and wears her hair up in a long braid wrapped around the top - that appears almost a head-dress of sorts type of thing. There is a sweet smell in the air and this rather odd haunting music.

I think they are cooking Curry. Well Vivi fans -that's all of the Vivi Visions today. Tomorrow if I get anything different, I will post it. Vivi is very much alive and well. So don't give up hope and keep the prayers, candles, and good thoughts flowing and practice being kind to each other - creates good energy to bring Vivi home.

If it is Curry - it seems to be rather hot or spicy and maybe even with Shrimp.

For this morning, I still see the land around the house where Vivi is being kept as rather open, and as trite as it sounds, maybe a white picket fence and there could be another dog - at least dogs near as I hear dogs barking - but it is not a kennel or at least appears not to be. I tried to concentrate on the surrounding area and the house seems rather large and these people may have children with darker skin color, not Caucasian but not black either. I do believe the color red or something about red is important although I don't know what. They fry up food for Vivi and feed her in a pan on the floor and the TV is on - and there's lots of laughter.

Another Emerson quote for those that appreciate his wisdom. "The day, immeasurably long, sleeps over the broad hills and warm wide fields. To have lived through all its sunny hours, seems longevity enough. The solitary places do not seem quite lonely. At the gates of the forest, the surprised man of the world is forced to leave his city estimates of great and small, wise and foolish. The knapsack of custom falls off his back with the first step he makes into these precincts. Here is sanctity which shames our religions, and reality which discredits our heroes. Here we find nature to be the circumstance which dwarfs every other circumstance, and judges like a god all men that come to her. We have crept out of our close and crowded houses into the night and morning, and we see what majestic beauties daily wrap us in their bosom. How willingly we would escape the barriers which render them comparatively impotent, escape the sophistication and second thought, and suffer nature to intrance us."

Dear Sedona,

I so hope you are right...such comforting thoughts.

So do I Brenda, so do I.

I sense today that Vivi might be near cows or a cow pasture. The sky is clear and sunny but cold. She was put into a concrete stall of sorts and the sounds of metal clanking, like pails or pans, are in the background.

The man wears talls boots that get very muddy - black boots - he is rather good natured and likes Vivi to be near him. Vivi runs with the calves and chases rabbits.

Emerson quote of the day: "Plants are the young of the world, vessels of health and vigor; but they grope ever upward towards consciousness; the trees are imperfect men, and seem to bemoan their imprisonment, rooted in the ground. The animal is the novice and probationer of a more advanced order. The men, though young, having tasted the first drop from the cup of thought, are already dissipated: the maples and ferns are still uncorrupt; yet no doubt, when they come to consciousness, they too will curse and swear. Flowers so strictly belong to youth, that we adult men soon come to feel, that their beautiful generations concern not us: we have had our day; now let the children have theirs. The flowers jilt us, and we are old bachelors with our ridiculous tenderness."

The kidnapped boy from Florida - Clay 13 yrs old -has been found alive and well on a ranch/farm. I'm so happy he is okay. The poor child.

I was doing a vision on the man who captured the 13-year old - I saw a tree with large boulders around the base of it - and a man that looked like he had a dog and another man on the ground near the rocks as if he had fallen down.

I n ever heard an ything about the kidnapped boy ??
I am glad you are on top of things with Mercy
and that she is doing well.
Nice to hear from you again Sedona

Thanks Sue. Still waiting for the vet to come back from his conference.

The boy was kidnapped at gunpoint this morning around nine from his bus stop in rural Florida by a stanger driving a pick-up - the details about how he was found have not been released yet. They issued an Amber Alert on him. He was found with scratches - I imagine we will know more later. Poor child, such an ordeal.

Tonight I will burn sage and send offerings of thanks to heaven for the safe return of Clay Moore the thirteen year old boy freed from the grip of evil today.

It is said that little Amber lost her life to see this bill passed and Amber Alerts issued, but her loss has saved many, many children now. Her family should be very proud of her legacy and their efforts to help others.

For all who care so much that a child was saved today, and I'm sure there are many, please send up prayers of thanks. I'm so happy each time a lost one is found - it is a time to rejoice.

I agree Kathleen - Amber has left us with a wonderful legacy.

On the man that kidnapped Clay Moore, I'm getting images that he has packed his truck with his belongings and the word "Texas." But I don't know if the man is from Texas or he is going to Texas or what any of it means.

Just like I don't know what anything means on the Vivi visions I get, but I will post what I get.

I did a few visions on Vicente....Moreno - the man who is accused of kidnapping Clay Moore.

I saw a bridge and water flowing under it. Also something swinging like from a rope.

I sense that Vicente will be put in handcuffs soon.

Praise be to God for planting the seeds of love in our hearts and souls.

Emerson quote for the day:

He who is in love is wise and is becoming wiser, sees newly every time he looks at the object beloved, drawing from it with his eyes and his mind those virtues which it possesses. Therefore if the object be not itself a living and expanding soul, he presently exhausts it. But the love remains in his mind, and the wisdom it brought him; and it craves a new and higher object. And the reason why all men honor love, is because it looks up and not down; aspires and not despairs.

I haven't done a Vivi vision today. Too much worry over Moses and Mercy and the rain keeps pounding here. I will do one soon and post it. In the meantime, we can meditate on love - love for our animals, for our family, for nature, and for our brothers and sisters of the universe.

This morning I sensed that Vivi was sitting near a window in a house. There's warmth from a radiator and someone is patting her back and placing a blanket over her - the woman is elderly - maybe a grandmother to the people in the house.

They also have a cat - I had the cat's name but forgot it - need to write this stuff down - it was something like Marshall -

Still sense that the house is surrounded by open fields or open land. The sky is clear and cold.

Today I sense that Vivi is in a house and has been put into an enclosure - something round - like a play pen area for one dog - and there's a gathering of some kind with friends and people arriving and cooking and music and laughter. As people arrive, they pet Vivi's head and give it a kiss. Vivi seems to like the attention. I still sense fields outside but they look green now - maybe a pasture - and I do believe there's a barn nearby. And geese honking - the sound of geese.

Please all pray for the Hundley children (3 young ones) that were kidnapped by their father from Missouri and taken to El Salvador. The children are in danger. I will not post my reading on this, but please keep them in your prayers and ask that God protect them. Thank you.

Today I sense that Vivi is in a car, the black sports car, and going for a ride. The woman driver has put a knitted red sweater on her, painted her toenails red, and Vivi is wearing a rhinestone collar.

Also, she is wearing a knitted little hat (red) with her ears sticking up. She loves going for the ride. The woman is driving along the beach and waves are crashing and there's not any traffic that I can tell on the road.

Of course, I never know what anything means or which part is important, it may be the color red or the beach or the black car. But I will post what I get.

I believe this last Vivi Vision is symbolic.

Sure wish I knew where this was so I could join Vivi and the lady on that beach. Sure sounds better than all this work I am doing today. If I find out it is South Padre Island, I am OUT OF HERE!

Man, this sounds like fun: "The woman is driving along the beach and waves are crashing and there's not any traffic that I can tell on the road."

Well, Kathleen, it's more informative than anything you've contributed recently. Some of us find value in Sedona's visions.

Do people understand how visions can be symbolic? Like a dream - hope it isn't too confusing. That's why I post on this thread and not the main one. There's value in symbolism - and I do believe most should understand this, right? Now I must leave for lunch and hope Mercy is better. I just fed her boiled chicken and rice last night.

Thank you Elizabeth - she understands!

Oh dear, I wasn't being clear. What I meant to type was: Elizabeth, thank you for understanding.

But as I posted, I never know what anything means - maybe I will know more in later visions that will help Kathleen understand.

Once again Beth you are trying to make something out of nothing (you too Sedona).

I did not mean anything ugly about Sedona's post, the whole idea of driving along a beach with the waves and wind just sounded so refreshing. Probably because I am long overdue for a vacation, and the beach has definitely been calling my name. I miss my vacations in Texas to see my son's family and South Padre Island.

Sedona, I am really surprised that you would think I was attacking you. I would think you know me better.

My mistake - sorry - seemed that you were taking it a bit too literal. I sure do understand needing a vacation.

That's okay, Sedona. I'm sorry if it sounded wrong also. I really was just sitting here thinking of how wonderful the beach would be with the waves and the wind and wishing I could be in this picture.

Some people go to the beach to sunbath, but I go there to sit and listen to the ocean, enjoy the seagulls and other birds (of which there are a huge amount in South Padre), enjoy wildlife, get my feet wet, and just enjoy the beauty of God's creation. For some reason the oceans (probably because of their many hidden secrets) fascinate me so much. I feel the magnificence of God's creation there.

Oh, and another thing I enjoy very much about South Padre Island is going out on the boats and seeing the dolphins while the breeze blows through my hair. There is just nothing as refreshing and wonderful.

I think I need to take a vacation for sure. I feel that wanderlust coming over me.

I admit it does sound a little idyllic - too much so. Although I wouldn't mind our little Vivi riding along the ocean in a great car being pampered - sounds good to me.

I agree, but I think Vivi needs to invite us along to enjoy the ride too. Wherever she is, I so pray she is safe, feed, warm, healthy and happy. Bless her little soul.

Me too!

I'm thinking that maybe my last vision of Vivi in the car means she will be traveling to someplace different soon. This is just a guess. I haven't done a vision on her today and probably won't. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Sedona,
Whether you are right in your visions or wrong, I don't care. I love hearing about your visions of Vivi and hope that they are right on target. To know that she is loved and protected and they are keeping her healthy is enough for me.
Thank you
Barbara V

I agree Barbara V. I pray these are correct also and Vivi is safe. But I still want to go to that beach and ride in that car along the beach with those waves and wind. After losing my precious Booger last night, this would be so refreshing for my heart and soul right now. Lookout Vivi, you just may have some company soon.

Gina is going to have a rebirth celebration for sweet Madison on March 23rd, since this was the day that Madison came back after drowning. She wants a big celebration for Madison like a birthday party. I am seriously considering heading down there for the party and for a couple of days at South Padre Island. Everyone, please read the update on Madison. Things are looking SO MUCH BETTER. Good news! Please keep praying and lighting candles too. Our prayers are being answered.

http://www.gratefulness.org Madison is "B+"
http://www.princessmadison.org

Kathleen, I'm putting March 23rd on my calendar and will do a special ceremony for Madison's rebirth - and ask for healing white light and love to surround her.

I do believe that my vision of Vivi wearing the red outfit most likely means this:

It is a hand knitted sweater and hat - so this implies time and care and love - red here is a good sign - it means love. So Vivi has red nails, again a time consuming process to paint her nails red - reinforces, I believe, that she is loved and cared for by people taking the time to attend to her needs. And the red hat - a hat protects against the cold. Vivi is surrounded by love and protected. All good stuff. This could be spiritual protection as well as "earthly" protection. I don't really know exactly but this vision is so encouraging and positive.

Also, I did a reading on Madison and was very excited about what I got: Little Madison was surrounded by Bee's, lots of buzzing bees - and I just knew this was a good sign - so I looked up Bees in an "Animal Speak" book I have - and Bees symbolizes the attainment of the impossible - and also fertile and life force - These are such positive signs and so fitting too that little Madison's group for candles is "B+".

Thanks Sedona. I went back and re-read the post from Gina, and the date should be March 24th instead of March 23rd. Be sure it is the 24th please.

Everyone, a special prayer that day for Madison would be very much appreciated. This will mark the one year anniversary of the day that Madison was brought back after her drowning accident.

Gina felt she should celebrate this day as Madison's rebirth so to speak and have a birthday party for Madison to acknowledge her progress so far. I think this will be good for Madison and her family for sure.

Will do Katleen - 24th of March is circled. I've been doing some healing energy work already for her - I admit this is the first for me - as usually I just do visions - but I'm learning - and look forward to hearing some real good news about Madison - in the meantime its prayers and candles and love.

I'm looking into some alternative health care options for Mercy - energy work. She is such a sweet girl.

I haven't done a new Vivi vision in a few days but will soon. Keep up the prayers.

Today, I sense that Vivi is being very playful - sniffing under a brown paper sack and pushing it with her nose - there's people near her - people sitting at a table - Vivi sniffs their shoes - there's laughter and happiness - outside the ocean waves crash and seagulls fly and I sense peace and love.

Just an update, Moses is almost back to normal - tail wagging, happy, no more complainging and he's even up on the couch now - his special place. Mercy is her ususal delighted self, and Cindy's happy tail is better too -

I'll do another Vivi Vision before the end of the week. Keep up the good prayers for all God's creatures.

I just read that Doogie passed away on March 1st. He died peacefully at his foster mom's home.

I also read the DA has ordered his body to be turned over to his owners. The case against Tammy Grimes for rescuing him is still pending. Where's the justice?

Denise

His owners will only call animal control and have the body hauled off. They never cared when he was sick why should they care now? The only reason they objected to Tammy taking the dog was because people saw them as the scumbags they really are. Theres a petition for Tammy and I'm sure if they have a court case, they'll be addresses to write and defend her with letters.
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/146424339

One of the Sacramento Kings (Major League Basketball Team Members) was arrested recently (Sunday or Monday) for domestic violence against his wife - the Kings have suspended him indefinitely – but - and get this - a few weeks earlier he was cited for animal abuse for starving all seven of his dogs, no food and no or little water, on his five acre estate here in the Sacramento Area - animal control gave him several warnings - and then you know what? Some of his dogs were taken away but they still left at least the Great Dane under his control and finally, the last one, his beautiful Great Dane about 3 years old was near death from starvation and this dog named Socks was taken away also and last I heard may not live. But the Kings kept him as a player after this horrible neglect .....go figure - a local radio station here deliverd 1,000 pounds of dog food to the front gate of his home but that didn't help poor Socks.

How can they let Doggie's body go back to those cruel and uncaring weasels is beyond me. Tonight, I will do a special ceremony for Doggie. I will send his spirit, wrapped in love and sage and incense, and too gather the good energy from all of us on the Animal House Blog that loved him from afar, into God's arms. He deserves honor. He will feel our love and know that he touched so many hearts.

Just want to thank Elizabeth for the wonderful suggestions she gave me for fixing Cindy's happy tail problem - I thought Cindy had chewed it - but come to find out it is from hitting it so hard on things when she is happy and is quite common in Greyhounds - well it's not too funny when one comes home to a mess on the walls etc from a happy tail wound. But glad to say, Cindy is healing and I have learned some great ways of, if not solving her problem , at least in bandaging it so the tail is protected while it heals.

Thanks, Sedona. It is an extremely common problem, but very difficult to cope with.

It is difficult to cope with - and it took much elbow grease to clean the mess up several times over until I found a semi-acceptable solution. But the pink hair roller used as a padding and then taping properly will work (I hope). For now she plays only in the backyard where she can't hit the floor, walls, frig, washer and dryer etc. with her tail - and she hits is so hard, like a whip, expressing her happiness -

The Great Dane was "Socks" - here's an article about it at MSNBC - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17029765/wid/11915773/

He wants Socks back.

Here's a better article about the million dollar basketball player and his dogs - I'm trying to find out what happened to Socks but so far I don't know.

http://www.sacbee.com/101/story/120331.html

Nice to know that California fines up to $20,000 for animal neglect - that's a start.

I just e-mailed the journalist who wrote the article for the Sacramento Bee to find out what happened to Socks - I sure hope he isn't given back to Artest.

I just received this answer from the Sacramento Bee to my Socks question:

"Socks is safely in the custody of Placer County. I don't think she'll
go back to Artest, especially under the current situation. (Artest
himself is not allowed to go to the house.) Many folks have volunteered
to care for Socks and I think her future is going to be fine, but
probably a lot will depend on whether the district attorney files
criminal charges against Artest for abusing the dogs."

Good, at least another dog is out of harms way. It just concerned me when I read the article in MSNBC about Artest wanting Socks back -

Last night’s ceremony for Doggie:

When I started to prepare for Doggie’s goodbye and spiritual transition, my heart was heavy – I did not enter into it gladly. Doggie spent so much time chained in the dirt that much of his energy was still locked in the ground – and it was sad lonely energy.

I went onto the back patio. The sky was cloudy. A few stars were out. These items were set out: A yellow candle, a small white light candle set inside a sculpture of stone animals, several sticks of incense, and some dried sage, and then these special items: A dog leash for the walks he never took, 4 dog biscuits for the treats he didn’t have, a bowl of dog food for the food he didn’t eat, and a large new dog bone for the bones he didn’t chew.

Mercy helped. She stood next to me. On the stereo the wolf CD used for Vivi’s ceremonies played – I think Doggie would like that and Vivi too.

To begin with, I visualized Doggie’s sad energy being pulled up from the earth, and with the sage smoke curling up to heave, his sadness went with it and was transformed into the spiritual light of God’s love. Then all our love energy from the Vivi Blog was gathered from around the country and sent into heaven to Doggie, into the Blue Cold of the North Pole, into the Morning Sun of the Eastern Sky, into the Warmth of Southern Skies, and into the Sunsets of the Western Horizon – But still my heart felt so heavy and I didn’t know why. I wanted freedom and love for Doggie – something was missing.

So, I sat down and gave the treats to Mercy. She could eat them in Doggies place.

Then I held up the sage and incense and prayed for God’s love to surround Doggie and soon the sadness lifted and hope returned. I looked at the clock. It was 8:01 pm. All of our prayers and good thoughts and candles for Doggie had sent his spirit into heaven and he was at last free from the chains of the dirt. We did it!

And then I asked God to gather the energy of all the chained dogs, first here in Sacramento, then in all of California, and then across the entire United States that they too may one day be free here on earth and know what it is to be loved and to be cared for, as all of us on the blog would have done for Doggie, and that these dogs wouldn’t have to wait until death to be loved – may all these dogs experience a good life in this world today. (I sensed that Vivi sent her love to Doggie too.)

Bye Bye good Doggie -

Wasn't it Doogie? Thanks for doing this Sedona.

Wasn't it Doogie? Thanks for doing this Sedona.

Was it Doogie? Well, I think it worked anyway - I kept his picture in my mind of his hopeful face when he was rescued -

Also, please everyone would you e-mail or call the Placer County District Attorney's Office and call or fax the Placer County Animal Control about this MultiMillionaire Basketball Player "Ron Artest" so he doesn't get his Great Dane Socks back. (I wrote about it yesterday.)

Socks was taken away from Ron Artetst, from a multi-million dollar estate, from a man who earns 7 to 8 million a year. And animal control didn't think Socks would live - but she is getting better. She was starved and left with no food and water and also hit by a car. It is criminal for this dog to go back to Artest - several dogs died on his estate, and all were taken away but a few Artest shipped off before animal control could get them.

Thank you.

Sedona,

That was so sweet of you doing that for Doogie.

Now we have to pray that the DA will drop the charges against Tammy for rescuing him.

Did you read the article in the Altoona Mirrow when Doogie died? It made me mad reading what the DA was quoted saying.

Denise

So sad. I will write the DA to get charges dropped against Tammy - poor Doogie and thank God for people like Tammy - just thank God.

I'll do a Vivi vision next week. My heart is just too heavy today. Everyone - have a nice weekend.

I will be taking a Vivi Hiatus for a while - moving to a new home in the near future - so very busy. God bless all and keep up the good energy in helping all the aimals. I hope Annie is found soon.

Tammy Grimes is not to be felt sorry for. Go to her web site and look at all who she is affiliated with. She has ties to PETA and Animal Liberation Front and other radical animal rights groups. If she had done it for the reasons she said, it would be a different story. Where do you think she got all the money to put on such a media blitz over this dog. she is really worse than a dog thief. She is doing it for her own personal gain and money and contributions coming in to hers' and others' orgainization and at a time when bills she had sponsored in many states were up for votes in state legislatures. People who take advantage of animals in this way for their own gain are the most immoral people I can think of.

Many responsibe dog groups are fighting her and the organizations she is affiliated with. They include show dog organizations, kennel clubs, and above board rescue groups are fighting her too. Tammy Grimes is not a rescue organization nor does she contribute to any of them. Please research her history before you go putting her up as a hero for this one instance. They are prosecuting her because many people in that area and other areas as well have had dogs come up missing and many believe she is at the bottom of it. Real rescue organizations do not put on the publicity blitzshe did nor would they have the money to do so.

I don't know the truth about Tammy Grimes - I don't know the truth about anyone really - on the blog or off it. Is it wrong to be glad she saved Doogie? I thank God she did.

It is difficult to know the entire truth - we all just do our best to do more good than evil in this world - to help pets as best we can. I believe this: any of us, from the most hated to the most loved, is just human with various qualities and capabilities - I hope all just strive to do better, to do more right than wrong, and the rest God can judge.

We need to first remove the log from our own eye before we see the speck in our brothers.

Now I must tend to my life and my pets and moving and the many changes ahead for me, and too try to figure out how, if I can, help the pets in China. Vivi doesn't need me anymore. She is loved and protected. Good Bye all.

BELLA: My name is Paula Wright and I did send you a personal email but it was returned back to me. Please email me as soon as you can. Thanks.

please see the story on Tammy Grimes..
She was arrrested.

Linda,
I didn't see when she was arrested..Nothing on today, March 9th..when was she arrested?
I saw that the Arnolds, Doogies owners still haven't picked up his body, as of 4 p.m. today..Whats wrong with this picture? I think they were embarassed by the whole thing, they got caught not taking care of their dog...I wonder how the other CHAINED dog in their yard is doing?

Bella,

I really don't care about all that you are babbling about. What I care about is that Doogie was saved from lying on the cold wet ground for three days. The neighbor couldn't get animal control to come out so she called Tammy. Did you see and hear the video where the neighbor was crying and begging Tammy to help him? What was she to do? Leave him?
How long do you think he would have survived lying on the ground and not being able to get up?

At least Doogie had five months where he was fed well, had a warm bed to sleep on, and very much loved before he died. The Arnolds are the ones who should have been arrested.

Denise

Rudy,
I did read that the charges were dropped against her& now they want to press charges against the owners
we really do live in a sick world...

Linda,
Thanks for the info. Thw whole thing was gross. If the dog was laying in his yard for days without help, its good that someone took him so he'd have a few weeks or months of happiness.
Denise is right! I agree with her totally and I hope they do something about the neglect on the part of the Arnolds. I worry about their other dog.

Goog morning, Angels!!! so glad to hear about Tammy!!! she's a hero to me and i'm sure, Doogie too!! that selfless woman should get a hell of a write up in the newspaper and some sort of a merit award - just for caring. she saved him, plain and simple!!!! and the Arnolds - rot in hell.
the Weenie crew and I are soon to be hitting te streets - here's hoping to the Luck of the Irish!!!!

Darlene, good luck to all of you this weekend. Wear lots of green and hope the 4 leaf clovers lead you to our Miss Vivi. I'm with you in spirit.

Good luck you NY gals! Stay out of trouble, mud and
the streets of NY! Bring that girl home with you!
Report in so we bloggers don't have the vapors worrying about you guys!

That is right, we need a weekend report PLEASE. Ruby, you must have some true Southern blood in you with those vapors! I have always heard of the Southern Belles having the vapors from those tight corsets (hee, hee).

I too hope these crazy charges against Tammy have been dropped, and the other dog taken from the Arnolds as well. That poor dog had to be suffering terribly.

Kathleen,
You're right about the Southern part. I lived in
Southern California for years..heh

The blog is very quiet. I miss checking in during the day and seeing the weenie gals going at it with each other......crazy women!

It is very quiet. But those weenie girls have work to do this weekend. Hopefully they will bring home a wiley whippet! Or then, Debbie may find another Jose (oh Lordy). I knew you had Southern blood, Ruby (hee). Sure glad I did not live in that era - oh the pain of those corsets!

Thank you so much Sharon for your sweet prayer. Are you feeling better? Hope so.

checking in, gals!!!!! well, we went out as scheduled yesterday at high noon and what a BEAUTIFUL DAY - NEAR 60 DEGREES!!!! since it was so nice, we had planned on spending about 4 hours in the parks and cemeteries. i was running a tiny bit late after blabbing on the phone with DEBBIE - go figure.... so, i flew out of the house like a LUNA-tic (GET IT???) and headed right for the local Exxon station to pick up necessities (BEER, WATER, AND ICE) for a lovely day hanging out and walking our butts off. THANK GOD I WAS LATE!! for those of you who don't know that park area, Forest Park, is off of Woodhaven Blvd.
Woodhaven has 4 main lanes going North and South and 2 "local lanes" going each way as well - totalling 6 lanes each way, divided by a median. well, i was stopped at a light on 101st and Woodhaven, impatient as hell as i was late. i look ahead of me and there is a large dog walking very very slowly, crossing all 12 lanes of traffic. He was going at a snail's pace and his tongue was hanging almost to the ground. he looked totally disoriented and I was sitting there saying, "Please God - don't let this light turn and have me watch him die right in front of me!!!" anyone who knows me knows I would have beat the S*** out of the person who hit him. so, thankfully everyone slowed down and he crossed Woodhaven and headed up 101st St. By this time, I had tears running down my face as I took my truck and blocked 3 lanes of traffic, trying to make sure he didn't turn around - a feat John would have crapped his pants witnessing. I called Debbie, Monica and Lois like a maniac and they just arrived at the park, about a mile away. i told them i was turning around and need them to get out of there and head toward me NOW. in 2 minutes, here comes Monica driving full speed to meet me. we looked all over the place and asked people if they had spotted him. after going around 6 blocks or so, there was nothing. i had started heading back and Monica pulled me over - mind you, this is Sat. afternoon traffic big time in a crowded area of Queens. she said that Debbie wanted to go down one side block one more time. we headed back and within 1 minute - BINGO!!! Eagle Eyes Debbie spotted him and he headed into a backyard. I was furious at this point, thinking he lived there - about 3 blocks from Woodhaven and these people just let him roam about. i was going to give them a BIG piece of my mind. Went up to their door and there was an older Italian woman who claimed no one owned a dog and wasn't too happy to see us. we headed in the backyard and there he was - laying in mud and leaves just taking a break, i guess. we approached him and he barked a little but no teeth showing. Monica went up to him with food in her palm and he just continued barking and was now corned against the fence. obviously, we were all a bit scared as this is one BIG boy. he was matted so badly - the mats hung from him at least 6 inches and his ears were infected as well. up close, he didn't look as old as i thought he was. the Italian woman came out of the back door and started again on me - that's when thank God, Monica started speaking to her in Italian - all was much better now :) her neighbor downstairs also came out and asked what was going on. the Italian woman brought out bread and threw it on the ground to try to get him to eat something from Monica. no deal. the other woman came out the a thick belt she said we could use as a leash since we only had a cinch leash and she got some salami she had in her freezer and cut a few pieces. after all of that, he still wasn't interested and sat there barking at Monica. she was so patient and calm, just talking to him and trying to gain his trust. meanwhile, Debbie and I were told that neighbors a few houses down, may own him - not that they would EVER get him back considering what he looked like but we took off to check it out while Lois stood behind Monica to give her a hand. we approached the woman's home and she was sweet and told us that it wasn't her dog - her 2 were in the yard. need i mention she didn't answer the door, but came to the window (not fully clothed...) but that's what we have to deal with :) so, we headed back and 2 minutes later, there he was licking Monica's fingers. so, she grabbed the choke chain that was on him and off we all went down the driveway. he was walking with us that he knew us his entire life. he didn't know or want to jump into her truck so debbie and i went to mine, grabbed a sheet, and we all made a sling and lifted that big big boy right into the truck. what now?? i called Bonnie and she wasn't home but told me to call Sean Casey's Animal Rescue - the same people who took BJ's pups. his mailbox was full..... so, i suggested - just drive there and we will handle it. he cannot stay on the street. so, instead of even getting to the park, off we went to JFK airport to Sean's. there he was greeted by 2 WONDERFUL girls who welcomed him, took pictures and us and him and agreed that there was room for him to stay!!!!! he was going to be cleaned up, taken to the vet and put up for adoption. we had no clue what this rather large dog was - they guessed a Great Pyranese mix - now you all know how big and fluffy he was!!!! and what a mush ball he became!!!! stood perfectly still with us while we took the pictures and drank alot of water. one thing - he was definately Monica's boy. he was so attached to her and was doing the old "pet me and i will lean against your leg until you almsot fall over" routine. he adored her!!! so, we sat outside and made our donations to Sean's FANTASTIC rescue and named our new boy WOODY (for Woodhaven blvd.) as we said goodbye to him (and as usual, I had tears in my eyes) Woody cried as Monica walked away. if that isn't his way of saying thank you, I don't know what is. they promised pictures of him all cleaned up and gorgeous so i will make sure you all see what a beautifully stunning boy he can be. he'll get a GREAT home as his personally and the love in his heart speaks volumes. i believe that running late saved his life and i think God i was there to help and him and thank even more, that i have such INCREDIBLE friends who would help me at the drop of a dime!!! so, after all of that, back to the park we went... and I didn't want to take Woodhaven Blvd again. for all of the locals, and even those who aren't, please - if you are thinking of getting a dog or cat - give Sean Casey's a try. i can't think of anywhere that would just take a poor down and out guy with no notice and them treat him like a King. thanks to them, he has a 2nd chance at a spoiled and wonderful life!!!!! AND - IT WAS LOIS T'S FIRST RESCUE!!!!! obviously a day she won't soon forget either :)
we didn't get our girl but we saved yet another baby that society threw away. THANKS, VIVI!!!!!!!

One more poor baby off the nasty streets. Thank you Team Vivi.

Great news Darlene. Another dog saved. You guys are awesome.

God Bless You All!

VIVA LA VIVI!

Laura

WHAT A GREAT STORY TO START THE DAY WITH!
You guy's should open up your own "Rescue Crew"!!
Maybe today will bring more good news of rescues!
Now if we could just get Vivi,Hopey,Annie...etc.
VIVA LA VIVI!
Rosa

WHAT GETS ME IS THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE WHO SAW HIM AND NEVER LIFTED A FINGER TO HELP HIM. HE WAS OBVIOUSLY EXHAUSTED AND NEEDED HELP. YES, IT'S INCONVENIENT AND IT TAKES WORK, BUT WHEN I CAME HOME LAST NIGHT, I HAD THE BEST FEELING AND KNEW THAT WE DID AND DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. AND MY VIVI FRIENDS ARE AWESOME, MARTY :)

i am hoping this will inspire the rest of our lost ones, to come back home. see? we don't bite and you get free salami!!!! i was sooo hungry, i was tempted. Lois T and I were talking - that is we would do if we hit the Lotto, we WOULD open our own rescue. screw the boats, new cars etc. this is MUCH better. and maybe buy a new powerwasher to clean Jose.

Any news on Hopey and Annie?

Marty, No new news on Annie. I am praying for something today. I hope Vivi gets Spring Fever and ventures out for the girls to see her.

Me too Rosa.

Good morning ladies, Darlene so true on Woody, best feeling ever getting that large marty, haha, and you called marge large. He is one beautiful boy. Even with his bad ear infection he never once showed teeth or growled, that is a true gentleman and we still had time to go back to the park. Someone will see his face and take him home and love him forever, no more roaming the streets, what was funny was the way he started to trot with Monica when they went to scan him, it was like be became a new boy. Notice that Woody and Monica had the same hair color, could it mean something Darlene???

well - i think you're onto something debbie. even the shelter was saying she should catch up to me. however, Large Marge and Large Marty do make a nice sounding couple. hmmmm....

where's that sleezeball Lois? still plotting on how to get DC to let her have the baby pug???

debbie - Rosa checking the chip today?? oh, my....
i am peeing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peeing, I got the ones from yesterday, we are on it but nothing else really showed up, I hope there is no problem, I usually get 200 this time I got 16, nothing at night. How could that be, no food and no photos. I'll send the ones from my camera later. Don King and all. Is Rosa doing all today?
