conformation (code for "dog shows"), lure-coursing (don’t
worry, no one else knows what that is, either), obedience, agility
and therapy-dog work. She is the historian of the Rhodesian Ridgeback
Club of the United States, and author of "The Holistic Dog
Book: Canine Care for the 21st Century" (Wiley, 2003) and "Getting

Gate" (Stewart, Tabori and Chang, 2005).
I was happy to hear the good news, however, I hope that his owners make sure he always has a collar on, and get him chipped if necessary. Also, given his history, maybe keep an "extra eye" on him, at least for the time being until this guy gets settled in his new home. He must have been through a lot. Hope everything works out well, and again, so glad to hear he was found safe.

Can someone tell me how long Pete was out? I can't remember the story on him

Go back to "Lost Dogs, a Mosaic". It appears he was lost towards the end of April. That picture of him was getting to me. I am so glad that "sad face" has been found. Now we need some more to be found.

Thanks Pam. I remember him now.

Oh my gosh, I am SO HAPPY Pete is back. Pam A, I was feeling exactly the same. Such a beautiful boy, and it was making me sad also to look at that sweet face on the blog.
Yet another happy ending we can celebrate!

THREE CHIHUAHUAS THAT NEED HELP!
I wanted to bring these three babies to everyone's attention. I found out about them this morning, and they are right there in Vivi's backyard at North Shore Animal Rescue.
They are so precious. Please go to this website and watch the video. Nancy M, do you think your group at work could help design special carts for these babies? You immediately came to my mind.
Folks they could use donations to help these babies have the lives they should!

Oh my gosh how precious and with their handicap how they manage to use their hind legs. This is just too darling. They are so like my little one in every way except for the front legs.

Happy to hear Pete is back. From what I read on the rescue site, he is going back to Tennessee. I guess the people in Long Island who adopted him are not getting him back. I wonder if it was their decision or the resuce's decision. All I can say is that the trip back has to be traumatic for him also. Anyone know why he is going back??

From what I understand Petes original foster family is going to adopt him permanently, maybe they decided he was better off with them.
