Hi Denise F!
I just posted on your new URL. It has a different format that will take a bit to get used to.
Are you going to be approving all posts before they are public? Will we be able to see recent comments as on this site or will we have to go to each POST to view them?
How long can we post on this site?

Thanks,

:) Mila

MILA:
Yes I agreed with your questions, I was going to ask the same questions. But you already had done so.
Well, I already bookmarked it in the favorite place as a back up.
Thanks Denise F. for letting us know!

I agree with Mila. Being able to see the Recent Comments section at the right and know what posts have been done recently really helps. It is time-consuming to go through each subject and click on the Comments to see any recent posts.

Can we have the Recent Comments section back please? Thank you.

I noticed there is the recent comments on the new blog. But there seems to be a glitch in posting for now. I emailed Denise and explained and she said she thought it was fixed and asked that I test it again. I did and got the same results but my old recent posts have shown up but not the earlier ones. We just have to be patient until it gets worked out,:)
B-J

I agree with Kathleen. The recent comments section is what I look for so I will know who posted to what comment.

THIS IS A TEST! ROOBY TO EVERYONE, DO YOU READ ME?
PLEASE WAVE IF YOU DO! BELCH

I'm waving Rooooby.

I SEEEEEE YOUUUUUU KAY! THANKS FOR NOT LEAVING ME ALL ALONE...HEH

TO ME, AND I COULD BE WRONG, THIS "BLOG" IS THE SAME AS THE OTHERS ONLY IN A DIFFERENT PLACE....I SEE WHAT PEOPLE HAVE POSTED ONLY NOT MANY ARE POSTING OR TYPING ANYTHING.....XOXOROOBY

I had commented on the new site about Congo being released, from "prison", to his family while waiting for his appeal. A blurb came up when I posted it that the comment would be reviewed before posting.
I do not see the RECENT COMMENTS option on the new site. Maybe I am missing it. And B-J did say there are still some gliches.

MILA: I see pretty much the same as in the other blogs:
RECENT POSTS AND RECENT COMMENTS.......
I'm sure everything will get straightened out soon.

VIVA LA VIVI!
Mila and Ruby.... I tried posting Viva La Vivi on the new Blog and nothing. Looks like we are still able to post here, but for how long?
I suppose we could use smoke signals right?
off to start a fire!
Or do we need to break out the walkie talkies? or better yet what about the old CB's...over and out 10/4 big buddy. Hope we can all reconnect some place soon!

VIVA LA VIVI!
may you be safe and able to find warm shelter. I love you sweet whippet girl!
Praying you are blessed with a Miracle soon!
Rosa

Amen, Rosa! I posted on the new site yesterday, but it isn't on there yet. I also got the comment will be reviewed blip.
Hoping Vivi has a miracle real soon. She is on my mind alot and if I feel this ache, I can only imagine what Jill and Rick are feeling. I would not be good working in AC or a shelter. I'd be crying everyday. Those who do this wonderful work should all get Heroes awards.

Okay I'll try this again. I posted on this site but it went to another site! So here's my post on this one, I think.

Hi Everyone,

I had a problem getting to the new site also. I had to go through my old searches in the drop down menu. And then I just put this in my favorites and it seems to be okay.

Vivi always thinking about you and missing you also.
May God keep you safe and warm until your rescue.

Laura

I posted on the new site today and haven't seen anything either. I hope the glitches can get worked out soon. I wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving and am also still hoping for a miracle for Vivi.

Trying out the new blog too. I also think of Vivi almost every day and wonder if there is any shred of news I missed from the old toll booth sightings. Maybe I missed something but have not heard anything further on that one. Maybe there was nothing further or not able to say for sure it was her yay or nay. This is still one of the very saddest of any story here a little dog living on her own scavenging in NYC.

We are always hoping for news of little Vivi. Has anyone heard if the tapes from the toll area have been viewed? Or if any further sightings have been called in? It has been so silent here....

Libby, it is so sad. Her story haunts me. Vivi needs to be found. I have posted on the new site a few times and nothing has gotten through. There are probably a few glitches that need to be corrected.
Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

No one seems to say anything about whats going on with Vivi..Nothing further on the toll plaza tapes or the fact Vivi was, for sure, spotted.....I pray for the little girl every single day and only hope she is safe and getting food! I wish someone would throw US a crumb and let us know if there is anything new. Its a sad time....Over 21 months and still no Vivi! )0;

ROOOOOBY....I COULDNT AGREE WITH YOU MORE!
This Toll Booth Sighting is one of the biggest Clues to help VERIFY this was Vivi and yet NOTHING not a CRUMB! It's just HEARTBREAKING!
IF this was Vivi it would be great to create some publicity to let people know she is still out there. THE MORE EYES THE BETTER!
Just keep up our Prayers of a Miracle for our little whippet Vivi. I know I will NEVER Give up hope that a kind stranger will help her.
Maybe we are in the dark but lets not leave Vivi in the dark, she deserves to find help and be rescued.
VIVA LA VIVI!
God bless you sweet Brave girl!
Rosa

I totally agree with you guys who posted above me.
It would be nice to know one way or the other if anything developed from the toll booth sighting.

Why is there such secrecy involved with any possible Vivi sighting? Why are only certain people permitted to have this information and WHO decides who the privileged few are? Why all the whispering and hiding? It boggles my mind! PLEASE, we need to work together, put all the egos aside and be a TEAM as we were way back in the early JFK days!

If people who were the backbone and search engines of the Vivi search in the early days are burned out and no longer want to be involed, I totally understand it and so much appreciate all they did, BUT, secrecy is NOT working to help this little dog. Putting complete and accurate info out there on a TIMELY basis concerning locations of sightings and what has or can be done may bring NEW people into the search. That is what is needed here, new ideas and people who still have HOPE and want to follow up on the sightings with postings, as well as driving and walking the areas at different times when they are available. I believe a workable and real PLAN to catch her at the next sighting is desperately needed as well.

WHY is there no info about where the situation stands concerning the toll booth sighting that "D" posted about weeks ago. All that is needed is the ONE picture and it sounded like "D" knew the precise date and time she saw this dog. Has the MTA (or whoever was contacted) refused to look at those frames or give us info? If so, why not let us all know that...why the never ending MYSTERY here? If complete and truthful info is put out there, who perhaps somone who may have contacts could come forward and help us. PLEASE, work together, don't exclude anyone and put ALL the facts out there.

I pray for Vivi and keep candles of hope lit for her each week at church, but God helps those who help themselves. I have not given up hope, but time is running out and another brutal Winter will soon batter this little dog....PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, I am asking people who have the info like Honi, Bonnie, Rosa Chili and Denise Flaim and others, please post and share all the info with us. I feel NEW people will come forward and try to help. Scrap the secrecy...it's NOT working and it won't. It's not about any one of us individually....please put egos aside and let's all remember it's about VIVI, JUST VIVI, LIKE IT'S ALWAYS BEEN...DON'T FORGET ABOUT HER CAUSE SHE IS FRAIL, TIRED AND SHE NEEDS HELP TO COME HOME...NOW!

Thank you for listening and peace to our little whippet, we DO love you, little girl.

huh? i can' hear you rooooby

Marther...you ol' **********!! Long time, no hear from you!! Good to see you back!!

YOU see my back???

Any news at all about the 2 chihuahuas dumped on the Southern State supposedly Sunday around 3:30 PM ? ( which would give them maybe a little over an hour daylight ?) I ony heard about it Monday around 2 PM

Just Testing. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Nancy, there are several chi's at the Manhattan AC&C that came in very recently. I wonder if the 2 are among them? I do not know the location of Southern State.
Irene, hello! You have always put your love for Vivi first and like the rest of us thirst for information. As Rosa says, any news...or just something to let us know that Vivi might be there. If it is the opinion that this dog is not her, we need to know that also.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, DEAR VIVI FRIENDS.
MAY THIS SEASON BRING GOOD AND HAPPY NEWS OF RESCUE AND HOMECOMINGS.

I assure you all we have not heard anymore sightings on Vivi. It's as hard on us as you all. Haven't heard more about the video check. Honi I believe is supposed to hear as soon as they view them which means nothing now I would think since it's been so long. Sorry I wish there was some news. We aren't keeping secrets and we do alert you on sightings.
B-J

Hi B-J,
We are all on edge and anxious for any news. Thank you for posting!
I hope the tapes can be reviewed without more delay. It is very important that that particular day and time be checked out. Any ideas on what the issue is?
If the tapes show this dog to be Vivi we will know that she is alive, even though it has been awhile now since D saw her.

Mila, Irene.... THIS almost feels like the old blog times. JUST talking about Vivi again on this blog feels good. I wish someone could find a way to put a rush on viewing that tape, IF "D" never posted that sighting on the blog we would have never known about it!
THE Need to keep her name and story out there for the public to be aware of her is so IMPORTANT!
Irene, I miss the old WINE AND CHOCOLATE DAYS!
VIVA LA VIVI!!
Rosa

Hi Rosa and Mila, I miss those days too!

I think it's very important to post ALL the possible sightings as soon as the call comes in and it's deemed to be plausible. No way to know just who might be reading this blog and happen to be very close to that area at THAT time. Isn't very helpful to hear about a sighting a week later...Vivi has usually moved on by then is what I believe.

When dealing with agencies such as the people who run the bridges in a metropolitan area, they need to be called and called again...otherwise, it will be ignored and that's what I fear has happened with the info that "D" supplied....how sad and heartbreaking IF it was Vivi. Would love to ask "D" if she recalls seeing the dogs right front leg....Vivi's got those unusual brindle marks down that leg which would really be an identifier. I think she said the dog almost walked in front of her car, but then retreated back into the marsh...don't know if she saw the right side or not.

It's impossible to get Vivi out of my mind or my heart, especially with the holiday season and COLD weather coming....I ask God WHY can't Vivi be safe, warm and loved like OUR pets....she deserves to be safe now...she's a brave little girl.

Please pray for her.

Irene,
That is exactly what I find so hard to cope with around the Holidays. Watching the family pets wearing Holiday dog sweaters laying in a warm dog bed with plenty of leftovers for them to eat and all I can think about is where is Vivi finding warmth and shelter or getting her next scrap of food to get by on? IT just kills me inside! THIS is my least favorite season because of the strays trying to survive in the harsh cold winter weather.
Begging for a Miracle in Michigan!
Rosa

I'm glad we can still post to this blog - I wonder if the new one will be as easy to navigate as this one ---- I don't like change......MA.....BELCH

kATHY - CO! MY SWEET WOMAN, I ALREADY TOLD YA, NO BODY LIKES YOU ANYWAY SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE NEW BLOG.......
ALSO, I AM HERE IF YOU GET TOO LONELY AND NO ONE TALKS TO YOU...JUST GLEAN ME A SIGNAL AND I'LL BE WATCHING OVER YOU! KEEP THE FAITH WOMAN, THE BLOG WILL BE OK SOON!

I too feel sad Vivi is still out there in the cold somewhere as far as we know. I wish we had better endings to this story. Maybe someday, I just keep praying.

Rosa, I too feel sad when I see what my fur babies enjoy compared to the strays. It breaks my heart as well. But don't forget the human beings (some children) that are homeless and in the same situation. The numbers are growing with each day from what I read, and a sad statistic I heard recently says something like about 70% of these homeless are ex-veterans - people who fought for our freedom often experiencing post-traumatic stress syndrome and other psychological problems and injuries which do not allow them to hold down jobs. I'm not saying hand out money all the time, but just a simple hamburger, fries and hot coffee will bring a smile to many of these faces.

I had a very unusual experience a couple of days ago. I had to go to Walmart to pick up something, and on my way back to my car there was the kindest looking elderly African-American man walking close. He was holding a flag still in the wrap he had purchased, with a sad look on his face. Before I knew it, I had asked him, "Do you have a loved one in the military, I see your flag?" He replied, "Yes, my grandson is about to go to Iraq." I told him I also knew of two others shipping out in January (Marines). We talked for a second, and before I knew it I asked him, "Would you mind if I said a short prayer for your grandson with you?" He said, "Not at all, I would appreciate it." So we both prayed for his grandson's safety and all the others there. When I rose my head, not only did I have tears in my eyes but he did also. Then he thanked me, said he really needed to talk to someone about this - and the prayer was an added blessing. I have no doubt in my mind God caused me to meet this man. I was feeling so sad myself, and God showed me how minor my problems were to this man's problems - my children and grandchildren were safe in the USA - not in Iraq.

Guess what I am trying to say is be aware of the needs of not only Vivi and other strays around us, but human beings also. At this Holiday Season when we consider this such a time of joy, there are always more suicides - many people do not have this same joy. Smile and share yours with them!

Off my soapbox, yes it is like old times.... Waving at you Martha and Irene. We missed you.

Kathleen, WHY are you trying to imply that because I express my feelings and worry for Vivi that I DO NOT care for childern in need or the Veterans of America? This is an ANIMAL BLOG remember??

MY concern here IS VIVI, YOU dont need to remind me of other sad issues of this world that are personal to me and YOU have NO IDEA how I feel about, so dont try to feed me advice on who I need to worry about. I Find that very OFFENSIVE!!

Irene, It's so good to read your posts again. I too am haunted by Vivi still being out there, especially since volunteering with rescues and seeing how people can just give, toss, dump their pets without looking back. One positive note, the senior greys in CT are doing great and the foster woman who is keeping them loves them and from what Jane said, Sweetie and Beamish are looking wonderful and gaining their weight back.
Kathleen, along with the animals, I also think of children like Natalie Halloway whose parents don't know what happened to them. I can't imagine how that must torture them each day. We need to hear more miracles and I pray Vivi will have hers next.

Susan - Thank you for UNDERSTANDING what I was saying and not JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS. If the McCanns are innocent, I also feel for their loss as well. When I look at the beautiful face of little Madeleine I want to cry, and I pray she is alive and will be found as these detectives are saying.

I was NOT suggesting anyone does not feel for these others, merely pointing out how many other issues are sad at this Holiday Season. I wish there was enough time, miracles and money in the world not to see such sadness, but unfortunately not.

And Rosa, I will mention human beings along with animals anytime I so please on this blog. We are ALL creatures of God. I'm sorry if you have a problem with that. Many others do not and have always been warm and loving to little Madison on this blog.

Yes, definitely back to the old blog again. Some people seem to think they have so much more concern or sadness for Vivi than others. I am sure we all feel very sad over the lack of information about Vivi, but there is no need to get upset with others who feel the same way. Everyone is doing all they can to follow-up on what few bits of information we receive on Vivi.

Susan - I forgot to say how wonderful it is to hear a happy ending for these sweet seniors. Thank you and the others who helped them have this happy ending.

Also, I think I could handle most anything EXCEPT not knowing where one of my children (or grandchildren) was, and whether they were safe. I remember feeling this type of panic once when my ex-husband allowed my two sons to wander away from him in a department store. When I realized they were out there without one of us, my soul wanted to cry with fear. Thank God they were okay when I found them in the store. Nick couldn't understand why Mommy was crying!

I think it is this same maternal instinct in the women on this blog which makes us feel the same way about Vivi. She is, and always will be, the little girl we all have loved and never met. I'm sure Jill and Rick feel this same loss with Vivi.

Kathleen,
DID I SAY I had a problem with CREATURES OF GOD? NO I didn't say that! again WHY are you twisting my concerns for Vivi into something thats ALWAYS ABOUT YOU!

Sounds like you are disgusted with the blog, is that what you are tryig to imply by saying "Yes, definitely back to the old blog again."?

I will tell Honi what you suggested Irene. I was thinking maybe it should be pushed myself. Yes if she is on that tape it would be a great relief to know at least she is still out there and hope.

I know we all worry and but it seems when there are bits of hope and information the tempers flare here. Please try and bite your tongues. It upsets me to think I caused any friction here by posting.

Take a deep breath and breath easy.

B-J

B-J, your posting is a good thing! You did not cause any friction. In fact, it brought our friends out to post and if tempers flare a bit it just means a difference of opinion.

BJ, I appreciated reading your posts. I hope the tape is reviewed and hopefully more eyes will be on the look-out. I'm here to help if more flyers have to go out or anything else. Like all of you, we need answers and just want Vivi back home with her family.
Kathleen, give a hug to your sweet grandsons on their first Thanksgiving. Any new pictures?
Is Onnie behaving herself now? It sounded like you made a lot of progress with her. My husband had a dog that was half Spitz growing up and she was a very good watchdog. She was very loyal to her family and he and his family speak fondly of her.

Thanks Susan. I will definitely give our two "bad boys" a hug from you. Their little personalities are coming forward more and more - and I do think we have double-trouble on our hands!

They are putting on weight rapidly for little premature twins, and only having trouble with some reflux and still not sleeping well at night. I feel for Tommy and Selena as they look tired all the time. They are thrilled when we show up to hold, feed, and give them a time-out with these two.

Any suggestions from someone who has had this problem of reflux with twins before (or single births) would be very appreciated. They are on medicine for the reflux, it seems to run in Selena's family - she has it too.

http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x132/kstephen_photo/jesse.jpg

http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x132/kstephen_photo/luke.jpg

Onnie does well as long as that collar is on her. But it slipped over her head the other night, and the aggression returned as soon as the collar was off. I am still working with her very hard though. Hopefully soon I will be able to attend a class with her as well. I wish you could see her in person. She may be a mutt off the street, but she has turned out so beautiful.

Karen, if you are out there, I now have her doing her sits before going outside and being feed. Thanks for your suggestions, they seem to really be helping.

Everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and B-J thanks for your sweet e-mails (they really helped). Susan, give that sweet daughter a big hug too.

Maybe with this next year we will see Vivi finally get home and our horses no longer transported to slaughter or slaughtered in the USA. This will be my prayer and New Year's Resolution for sure.

Kathleen! Your grandbabies are growing and thriving and are beautiful! Thank you for sharing the pictures.
So happy that Onnie is doing so well with your training. She sounds like a very smart dog who is willing and able to follow your lead.

As Rosa says so well "VIVA LA VIVI" for our little lost girl. Hoping and praying that these tapes show her to be the dog that D had seen.

BJ - thanks for the information you posted. I hope that the tape is/can be reviewed. It would be great to know if it was her at the booth that day.

Kathleen: the pictures of you grandbabies are wonderful! Thanks for sharing.

Kathy (CO): I still like you so if Ma gets to ornery, you will have a backup. :)

Mile; you are right.:) Long as it's constructive. Just hate when it hits the heart rate and emotions negatively. We need to stay healthy you know. Me; blast away and it rolls off my back but I worry about others and there ability to let it all roll. as long as the Vets, groomers; pet rescues and businesses get reminders once a month and encouraged to hang a flyer where it will be seen is the best we can do for Vivi right now.

BJ

Jackie and I have sent to all the vets again.

Kathleen, the pictures are precious. One can see the personalities and I truly empathize with Tommy and Selena. Full term newborns are exhausting enough, let alone premature. It will pass in time, though when new parents are worn out, it feels like it won't end.
Marty, if help is needed to send out reminder flyers, e-mail me a list.

Thank you Marty, Jackie, Susan and all of you for your continued time and efforts. I know how hard you are all working to keep Vivi out there in the public eye. Lots of Love and big hugs to you all

Okay Susan. Thanks.

Ackkkkkkkkkkkkk and spit and thats the truth!
Happy Thanksgiving people...Keep your dogs off the coutner..........and make sure all ladders are put away...xoxoxo

Welcome back Irene, and Rosa is right on the mark.Caring about Vivi does not mean we don't care about other humans also. That's always the spin people use whenever someone is focused on an animal. There are other blogs (and I belong to them) that help our Soldiers, the people of Darfur etc. But..... this will always be Vivi's blog and those of us that want her to be the main focus will do our best to make sure she is.

Margot,
Thank you for expressing so well the point I was trying to get across. So good to see many of us old bloggers back! Praying for a Thanksgiving Miracle for our little Whippet. We will never give up on you Dear Vivi!
VIVA LA VIVI!
Rosa

BJ,

Thanks so much for posting! It really helps to hear something occasionally about Vivi... even if it's only to say that there isn't any new news.

I'm also hoping that someone continues to press the toll booth people to look at the video. Still praying for a miracle for our girl.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

ROSA: As always I join you in prayer for our Vivi. May this Thanksgiving bring Miss Vivi home to those who care so much about her.

Happy Thansgiving to all...

Anyone know of a lost fawn Whippet? Last night a fawn Whippet ran in a wide arc from across the street from us gracefully arcing as it crossed and then ran up an alley on Horthorn (Hawthorn?) the second block east of Rockaway Ave in Valley Stream New York. It took less than 10 seconds and I doubt the two people she passed even noticed her. She moved swiftly and ghost like. I myself may not have seen her/him as it was so fleeting much like when Vivi raced across from me. But we were walking Sheba and I had my radar eyes on as you better see it first with a 130 pound Rottie. Sheba has greatly improved and although she was straining momentarily we did continue our walk with out incident. Bad part was I was unable to follow or try to coax this whippet to us. As with Vivi she was no where to be found when I searched after I finished with Sheba,

B-J

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoyed all the goodies. Anything new on the fawn whippet you saw, B-J?

No one has seen a whippet and I didn't see the dog again or any flyers.

I recieved an email that the new blog is up and running. The posts are there so give it a try.
B-J

B-J, I just posted to you on the new blog. IT is up and working and my post went through quickly.
VIVA LA VIVI!
Rosa

I also posted on the new blog. Was real smooth.
Except I forgot to add my name so I'm anonymous now.
Heehee!!

Hi gang, I just something on Craigslist that caught
my eye. Someone spotted a med size white dog with
a few black spots running around by Pilgrem State
Hospital in Brentwood. Could this be our girl???
He said he tried to catch her but she ran into the
woods, sure sounds like Vivi, can someone check
out that area.

Hi Sue,
You might want to post this on the new blog... i think most everyone has gone over there now.

Here's todays list - thanks so much

Inside Edition
(http://insideedition.com/ourstories/reports/story.aspx?storyid=1080)
did an excellent job of educating the public about the horror of horse slaughter. We must jump on this opportunity and make sure our legislators see this story. It is also a good time to send it to all CBS networks and see if we can get any of them to pick up the story. Details on how to do this will be posted on the Discussion Board under thread called MEDIA BLITZ.

We must still call the people we’ve been asked to target because they will make the difference in whether we have enough support to pass the bill.
Letters of support from senators who would rather not cosponsor but will vote for our legislation, have been requested. They should be sent to Senator Landrieu’s office.

Remember….these calls are to gain co-sponsors and support for HR503 and S311. As difficult as it is, please concentrate on the transport of the horses to slaughter more than the conditions in Mexico. We can’t let anyone who is not well informed come to the conclusion that it would be better to have the plants in this country because of the conditions in Mexico.

Remember, WE ARE BARBARO’S VOICE…..let it be heard!!

Daddy God, we ask you to bring Vivi safely home. We know she is in your care and she is still out there just waiting for your chosen ones to rescue her. Keep her shelter warm and help her to rest well when she lays down to sleep at night. Daddy God keep her in your tender care and let your light shine on her. She has to come home soon. She is such a blessing to all of us and we love her dearly. She is your precious creation of love and all that is good. We bless her food and water that you provide for her. Keep all harm far away from her Daddy God and bless us with her return. That is all we want for Christmas Daddy. Bring little Vivi home safe. In Jesus's name we thank you

Any news on the availabilty of the toll booth tapes for the day and time that D had spotted the Vivi-like dog? I know we are all extremely anxious to know if the dog was Vivi or not.

Mila, totally agree with your post concerning NO info on results of being able to view the tape for the morning of September 25th, when "D" had the sighting of a dog that could be our Vivi.

What could POSSIBLY take so long if follow-up calls are made to the bridge personnel? It is heartbreaking to think that this opportunity might pass, like many others, because I feel that if more time goes by, the toll takers will say they can't go back that far and look at tapes months old. They only need to look at about an hour of tape....what's the big deal here????

This sighting was on the morning of September 25th....more than 2 months ago. PLEASE, we are asking Honi, and whoever else has access to these people, to speak to these people and get a conclusion here.

Please pray for Vivi's safety and recovery.

Snow is forecast for our area this coming weekend and it totally destroys me to think this poor little dog could still be out there fending for herself and trying to survive. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, ACT NOW AND MAKE THE NECESSARY CALLS!

FROM KATHY (CO) - THE HORSES STILL NEED US*********
CONGRESS IS IN SESSION…….KEEP THOSE PHONES RINGING!!!!
We only have a couple of weeks to get this done before the holiday recess. The volume of calls can make the difference! We must still call the people we’ve been asked to target because they will make the difference in whether we have enough support to pass the bill. Letters of support from those who would rather not cosponsor but will vote for our legislation, have been requested.
Calls can be short…..just ask for support to end slaughter and the transport of slaughter.

again, from Kathy(CO) - THE HORSES NEED US BIG TIME********

IMPORTANT NEW INFORMATION………
According to contacts, the following seven senators are objecting to the anti slaughter language as it presently stands. These are not necessarily people who will vote with us and our main goal in calling them is not to get their support but to get them to remove their objections so that we can move forward.
After a long conversation with Daryl tonight, he agrees that he will continue with his meetings to gain support so that we have the votes if we can get rid of the objections.
